How did we start?
Bacon Zest was created in 2019 when a hungry high school student became tired of eating the same bland eggs and bacon breakfast every day. The idea was originally a solution for a class project at Blue Valley CAPS (Center for Advanced Professional Studies) during a food innovation project. Originally Bacon Zest was Better Bacon Bags that cooked seasoned bacon in a bag. Unfortunately, the tests failed rendering the bacon unsafe to eat. So we went back to the drawing board and came up with simply seasoned bacon. Since we eat bacon on salads, burgers, and many other items we asked ourselves Why not improve bacon as a whole? Bacon Zest is the answer to that question.
What is our mission?
Our mission is to continue to create new bacon seasoning flavors so that the restaurant specialty you periodically enjoy is now a routine treat that you create.
